Rebound, then spines were rebound again. Volume 1 spine is cracked, and starting to come of the binding. Covers have some light rubbing, and wear around the edges. Pages have some foxing. Spines both have some a few bug holes, but they do not seem to affect the pages. Volume 1 is missing pages xi-xii, pages 3-10, and 265-170 are loose, and page 271 is tearing, and creased (it is also pictured on the listing). Volume 2 is missing pages 137-140, pages 101-104, 135, 136, 141, 142 are loose. ; BAL 3829. First edition, first imprint. Printed by E. B. Clayton. Has "errata" at the end of volume 2, that the publisher did not approve.
