There is glassine tape from prior mounting along the right edge of the second page. The tape covers the postscript, which was written vertically, but is still legible. Folded for mailing. Tiny hole to the center where the folds intersect. ; Handwritten letter, two full pages, on blue graph paper. Signed "your much attached Sister, Emily". Approx. 5 3/8" wide by 8 1/4". Handwritten heading 90 Louis Bonaparte 10, no date. To her brother, enclosing a letter (no longer present) "...from your friend the poet Dante Rossetti who has been so good as to send Charles [husband Charles Wells] a book of his poems, ...he is much touched by your friend's kind thoughts of him for he imagines that he is dead to everyone in England especially in a literary way ..."
