Very small to tiny tears to the ends of some folds. Remains of prior mounting to corners - still just a bit sticky. ; William Saroyan two typed letters signed, one apparently secretarial. One handwritten signed note in fair/poor condition. 1) Typed letter, June 18, 1959, secretarial signature. To W. A. Van Nostrand, Samuel French, Inc. , approving amateur productions of his plays in Australia, England, and South Africa. 2) Typed letter, May 24, 1950. To C. T. O'Leary & M. Abbott Van Nostrand, Samuel French, Inc. "I am returning herewith the contracts covering Don't Go Away Mad and Hello Out There, signed. ... Perhaps we do not have an agreement covering my one-act play, Once Around the Block." Handwritten at end "Please note my address is 1821 15th Avenue (not Street) [San Francisco] WS". This letter is missing a piece of paper from the upper edge. 3) written note dated Jan 27, 1952, to C. T. O'Leary "Brazil - The Time of Your Life - O. K. (Please keep me informed of this: & all such. ) " This note has pencil scribbling, overwriting, and ink stamps.
