Handwritten Signed Letter

Folded for mailing. Small tears to the fold ends. Tiny hole to upper corner where letter was pinned. ; Handwritten letter signed F. T. Palgrave, on pale green paper, one page, approx. 5 1/4" wide by 8 1/4". Separated from second leaf along the fold. Handwritten heading 15 Chester Terrace, Regents Park, London NW, 22 Jan 1889. Written on the reverse of a form received from Frederick Langbridge, St. John's Rectory, Limerick, and dated January 18, '89. The printed form states: "I should be exceedingly obliged by your kindly allowing me to include in" Ballads of the Brave ...filled in "which I am preparing for publication the poems named overleaf." [no list of poems, apparently wasn't overleaf, although there are perforations down the left edge]. Palgrave replies that MacMillan published the poems in question and they need to give their approval. He continues "So far as I am concerned you are quite welcome to reprint the pieces named ..."
